If all your moves run out of PP during a Pokemon Battle, you perform a special move called " Struggle." Struggle is a type-less physical attack that hurts the Pokemon that's using it ( Recoil) a small amount each time they hurt the enemy. Some moves have a lot of PP, like Tackle's 35 PP. Each time you use an attack, you will lose one PP on that particular attack. PP is the amount of times you can perform an attack before it becomes useless. For more information on Attacks, see the Attacks page.Įach Pokemon Attack has PP, which is short for Power Points. As they level up, they can learn new moves and replace one of the four in their move set. Each and every Pokemon can learn up to four moves at any given time. Both sides choose an attack and the Pokemon with the higher speed stat, or faster move, hits first. The battling system is based on the old school RPG turn based battling system. To reduce a Pokemon's HP, you must use certain Attacks on a Pokemon. You must attack another Pokemon until they lose all HP and faint. HP, which is short for Hit Points, are the points a Pokemon associates its health with. Your Pokemon will keep any increases in levels or new moves they may have earned during the previous battle, but if a Pokemon was about to evolve, you'll have to wait until they reach the next level again. If you lose a Pokemon Battle, you will be sent to the last Pokemon Center you visited to heal your Pokemon. To do this, you must drain all HP from the other team's Pokemon. The objective of all battles is to make all the Pokemon on the other team faint.
